What Kind of Fan Are You?

You may have seen or heard of the female Alabama fan who jumped into a crowd of Oklahoma students at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans and kicked her way into YouTube immortality.

We all know that the term "sports fan" refers to someone who is fanatical about their sport of choice. A fanatic, by definition, is "someone filled with or expressing excessive zeal."

I guess "excessive" would be the operative word in the scenario cited above. And I think we could all agree that this is not an isolated case. More and more we read of the over zealous fan who is in trouble for their actions. So is being a sports fanatic a good thing or a bad thing?
