Huddle Coach/Sponsor Inspo/Training Event
Our huddle coaches/sponsors at middle schools and high schools across DFW and North Texas will have an opportunity to come together for an afternoon of inspiration and continued training to be the best they can be in impacting the student athlete on their campus and youth sport clubs. This event is Sunday, August 14th from 4-6:30 pm at The Hope Center in Plano. It is free to attend but registration is required.
Chad Hennings (Dallas Cowboys) will open the event with his thoughts on Christian leadership. A former college chaplain will share his testimony of how he became addicted to prescription medicine and lost his job, his reputation and almost his freedom yet through God's grace found his way back. This will highlight our need for One Way 2 Play Initiative.
The wives of our huddle coaches/sponsors will be treated to a time of inspiration by Carolyn Allen, wife of Highland Park's Coach Randy Allen. Carolyn has spent much of her adult life as a coaches wife and mother and will share insights from her book The Coach's Wife.
We will also be re-introducing our Character Coaching Initiative that creates an opportunity for volunteers to walk along side specific sports teams in an effort to train up athletes in Christian character and leadership.
FCA staff will then discuss various resources and proven methods to influence and impact student athletes through the FCA Huddle (before or after school club).
Dinner will be provided by Cane's in Plano. For more info contact 214-739-8003 or firstname.lastname@example.org
This event will be video streamed live for coaches in Ft. Worth (Cavila@fca.org or email@example.com), Wichita Falls (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Tyler (email@example.com).
