"Each year, during the months of November and December, our ministry tries to encourage our local FCA programs to give back in some capacity. Jesus came to serve, not to be served, and I am so thankful for all of the outreach and service projects our N. Collin County FCA programs were a part of this year. See below for a few examples of N. Collin County FCA programs being the hands and feet of Jesus…
- Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child: several of our local huddles were able to put together numerous shoeboxes of items for needy children. Below is a picture from one of our local huddles that collected 29 shoeboxes to donate.
- Gospel for Asia: this organization sends much needed supplies, animals, Bibles, water wells, etc. to impoverished people and missionaries in Asia. One of our FCA huddles was able to collect donations from students, faculty, and student organizations and donated $200 to this organization. The $200 will provide 2 rabbits, 6 chickens, 2 pigs, 1 lamb, 15 Bibles, 8 New Testaments, and 600 Gospel tracks to God's children in different parts of Asia. To God be the glory!
- Local Community Outreach: Many of our huddles went out into their local communities and served in various capacities. Several of our huddles visited local nursing homes and handed out Christmas cards, candy, and some even did some Christmas caroling! Christmas time can be a wonderful time for some, but a lonely time for others. So thankful that FCA is being a blessing in the local community and demonstrating Christ’s love with those around them."
